A designer who bridges fashion and product design.
Born in Tokyo in 1964. After graduating from Musashino Art University, he served as an assistant professor at the same university. In 1993, he graduated from the Paris Chambre Syndicale de la Couture. After working at Miyake Design Studio and Issey Miyake, he established HIKARU MATSUMURA DESIGN Co., Ltd. in 2005. He has been involved in various brands and design projects. In 2017, he co-founded 52 DESIGN Co., Ltd. The following year, he launched the product brand 52 BY HIKARUMATSUMURA.
